After arriving at Auckland Airport, contact Bubble Rentals and our free airport shuttle will collect you from the terminal and bring you to our rental location. Our team will complete the paperwork and vehicle inspection before handing over your rental car.

Can I pick up my Bubble Rentals car without my physical driver licence?
No. Bubble Rentals requires the main driver to present their physical driver licence at pickup. Photos, screenshots, or digital copies of licences are not accepted.
Can I rent a car in Auckland with an overseas driver licence?
Yes. Visitors can rent a car in Auckland with an overseas licence if it is valid and written in English. If your licence is not in English, you must provide an official translation or International Driving Permit. Unfortunately, we do not accept Learners or Provisional (P) Plate licences. International driving licences must be in English.
Does Bubble Rentals accept restricted or learner licences?
No. Bubble Rentals requires drivers to hold a current full driver licence. Learner and restricted licences are not accepted for vehicle rental.
Can I use my temporary full driver’s licence to hire the vehicle?
Yes, Bubble Rentals only accepts New Zealand temporary full driver’s licence.

Yes, we do accept debit cards. You can use your debit card to make your rental vehicle payments when booking online and in-store.

Yes, Payment requirements depend on your booking method and selected payment option. Customers should follow the payment instructions provided during booking.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and EFTPOS. We also offer Afterpay services in the office only.
Does Bubble Rentals offer free airport shuttle services?
Yes. Here is how to find our free Auckland Airport shuttle:
- Domestic Terminal: Go to Door 9, near the baggage collection area of Jetstar Airways. Exit through Door 9, walk across the road to the last bus stop shelter, and our shuttle will pick you up there.
- International Terminal: Exit through Door 8 and follow the marked lines all the way to the off-site shuttle zone, where our shuttle will pick you up.
- After collecting your luggage, you can also call us — once requested, we will pick you up from Auckland Airport within approximately five minutes.
What happens if my flight is delayed before pickup?
If your flight is delayed, contact Bubble Rentals as soon as possible. Our team will assist with updating your pickup arrangements. Please provide your flight details at the driver details section during the booking process.
